Ensuring product safety and legality via robust processes and rigorous control

The Zaanlandse Oil Refinery (ZOR) strives for safe, high-quality products. We use processes and quality systems that guarantee the safety, food safety, environmental impact, quality, authenticity and conformity of our products and services.

During production, important parameters are continuously measured.

The onsite laboratory is responsible for monitoring in-line samples, analyzing the final product and generating certificates of analysis. This means the highest standards are maintained.

Every product and process is tested according to the strict international regulations and the highest international standards such as the Food Safety Certification FSSC 22000.

FSSC22000

Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the FSSC 22000 Food Safety Management System provides a framework for effectively managing food safety responsibilities. Based on existing ISO Standards, it demonstrates that we have a robust Food Safety Management System in place.

EU Organic

The inspection body for organic production in the Netherlands. Relates to the manufacture of food products, wholesale trade, warehousing and support activities for transportation.

Certification standard for Fair Trade and responsible supply-chains

RTRS

Founded in 2006 in Zürich, Switzerland, the RTRS – Round Table on Responsible Soy Association – promoting the growth of production, trade, and use of responsible soy. It works through cooperation with those in, and related to, the soy value chain, from production to consumption.

GMP / ISCC

GMP +

"GMP" stands for Good Manufacturing Practices. "+" refers to the integration of Hazards Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). The certification scheme of GMP+ International has two elements: Feed Safety Assurance(FSA), for safe feed and Feed Responsibility Assurance(FRA), for a sustainable work method.

ISCC

Complies with the requirements of the RED and the certification systems ISCC EU (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification), which is approved by the European Commission.

Kosher & Halal

The Zaanlandse Olieraffinaderij is able to deliver Kosher and Halal products.

Halal certificate issued by the Islamic Food Council of Europe.

Kosher Certificate issued by the Orthodox Union.
